Velanne (postcode 38620) is a small farming community roughly equidistant from Lyon, Chambery, and Grenoble at 45o29’N 05o38’E. We are at an altitude of 535m.

Access

 By Air

Lyon St-Exupéry is 68 km (50 minutes) to the NW; well-served by both major and low-cost airlines from the UK and Europe, as is Geneva 120 km (1 hr 20minutes) to the NE.

Chambery Airport (42km, 40 minutes) and Grenoble-Isère (38km, 43minutes) are both ski-season airports but are well-served in the winter season.

By Road

Velanne is 15km (20 minutes) from Junction 10 of the A43 Lyon-Chambery Autoroute, and 25km (28 minutes) from Junction 10 of the A48 Lyon-Grenoble Autoroute.

 

 

We are approximately 850km (7hr 30minutes) from Calais by Autoroute.

By Train.

The TGV interchange at Lyon is co-located at St-Exupéry. The high-speed rail connection between London and Lyon takes approximately 6 hours.

Local services to Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin station (5km, 5minutes) are frequent.
